Question
While trying to create a tool within WebGUI, nothing happens when the "Save" or "Save and close" options are used.
Within the ncw.0.trace log file the following error is generated:
com.micromuse.ncw.tooleditor.ToolDefinitionValidator.validate SEVERE: HEMBT0076E=Unable to validate the tool definition for .
Cause
There is a problem with the conversation details for the users in the object server table alerts.conversions.
Answer
The issue is caused due to a previous import or due to any other circumstances that populated alerts.conversions table for the object server used as a user repository for WebGUI.
If when trying to recreate one of the users with problems in the object server a warning is generated with the message that a conversion already exists for that user, then, the proper resolution would be to remove all the details from alerts.conversions table and recreate them correctly.
