PDF Documents with many thousands of pages will cause large viewer delays with inactive grey screen

Troubleshooting


Problem

When a user attempts to view a document with many thousands of pages, the viewer loads but the page to be viewed either never renders or takes so long to display that the user assumes the viewer is "hung" or "unresponsive".

Symptom

The user sees a grey screen in the viewer for a lengthy period of time (several minutes).
