Troubleshooting
Problem
After a recent Windows Server update, the Planning Analytics Administrations database page no longer updates. The TM1 database tiles show no information about memory and CPU utilization, or the current information about resource utilization is not updated.
This problem has been caused by a Windows update that changed the output of the following fsutil command.
C:\Users\user>fsutil volume diskfree C:

The fsutil command was updated to provide additional details as follows (note the addition of the disk space in GB):
C:\Users\user>fsutil volume diskfree C:
Total # of free bytes : 96004141056 (89.41GB)
Total # of bytes : 254721126400 (237.23GB)
Total # of avail free bytes : 96004141056 (89.41GB)
The Planning Analytics Administration agent is unable to read the above output. This causes the Planning Analytics Administration agent to fail to report any information about the TM1 databases to the Planning Analytics Administration database page. The problem also impacts the drag and drop file import capabilities in Planning Analytics Workspace.
A change was made in Planning Analytics Workspace 2.0.41 and higher to prevent the problem. Note that the change was made to the Planning Analytics Administration agent. After updating Planning Analytics Workspace 2.0.41 (or higher) the Planning Analytics Administration agent must also be updated on systems running TM1 databases. This process is documented here.
This problem has no impact on Planning Analytics Workspace on cloud.
