Content
Starting June 1st, 2019 IBM will no longer provide engineering support for the following FlashSystems firmware versions or their derivatives:
1.4.x -- 1.4.0.7, 1.4.0.8, 1.4.0.10, 1.4.3.0, 1.4.4.0, 1.4.4.2, 1.4.5.0, 1.4.6.0, 1.4.6.1, 1.4.7.0, 1.4.7.1, 1.4.8.0, 1.4.8.1 and 1.4.8.2.
This means that no further fixes will be made available on these firmware levels. IBM strongly recommends customers using these firmware versions upgrade their systems before the "End of Engineering Support" date.
Customers should consult with their IBM Technical Advisor for the recommended firmware version for their situation.
The "End of Engineering Support" announcement for old firmware versions aims to encourage customers to upgrade their system firmware to a more current version which includes important stability fixes that improve product reliability.
Support for unsupported firmware will be on a “best effort” basis by IBM.
There will be no fixes provided to the 1.4.x code stream after this end of engineering support date.
