IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management Standard Advanced Edition v11.6.0.x for Oracle 12cR2, 18c and 19c Interim Fix Readme

Select Information Management → InfoSphere Master Data Management → v11.6

Follow the steps below to install the interim fix:

1. Copy the downloaded file to your server and extract the content into a temporary folder.
2. Go to 11.6.0.x-MDM-SE-AE-Oracle-12cR2-Authentication/Standard_Advance/DataDirectODBC/<operating_system>.
3. Depending on your operating system, select all the files from the /lib folder to {MDMInstance}/mds/lib, and all the files from the /locale folder to {MDMInstance}/mds/locale.
4. For Oracle databases, modify {MDMInstance}/mds/conf/odbc.ini (or, on some systems, {MDMInstance}/mds/conf/oracle.ini). Change o6trc27.so to o6trc28.so, and o6db227.so to o6db228.so.
5. Depending on your operating system, copy all the files from the /lib folder to $WAS_HOME/profiles/Node01/installedApps/peeper1Cell01/MDM-native-MDMInstance.ear/native.war/lib/ and all the files from the /locale folder to  $WAS_HOME/profiles/Node01/installedApps/peeper1Cell01/MDM-native-MDMInstance.ear/native.war/locale/en_US/LC_MESSAGES/
6. Any reference to 27 should be replaced by 28 in $WAS_HOME/profiles/Node01/installedApps/peeper1Cell01/MDM-native-MDMInstance.ear/native.war/conf/odbc.ini
7. Modify {MDMInstance}/mds/conf/odbc.ini (or, on some systems, {MDMInstance}/mds/conf/oracle.ini) changing all references of 27 to 28.
8. If the sqlnet.ora file was changed to  protocol value to be 11 or lower, change it to 12. 
   SQLNET.ALLOWED_LOGON_VERSION_SERVER= 8 sqlnet.ora location = <ORACLE_HOME>/network/admin/
9. Restart the Oracle services identified by OracleService<DB_NAME>.
10. Update the Oracle schema password to a new value using the following sqlplus command:
    ALTER USER <USER_NAME> IDENTIFIED BY <NEW_PASSWORD>;
11. Restart the server.
