DESCRIPTION: Node.js is vulnerable to a denial of service. By establishing an HTTP or HTTPS connection in keep-alive mode and sending headers very slowly to force the connection and associated resources to stay alive for a long period of time, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to consume all available resources.

Affected Products and Versions
Releases 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 of IBM i are affected.
Remediation/Fixes
Releases 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 of IBM i are supported and will be fixed. The issue can be fixed by applying a PTF to IBM i or installing an rpm update based on Node.js version.

The recommended way to install these RPM's is to use the IBM i Access Client Solutions product or run ‘/QOpenSys/pkgs/bin/yum install nodejs8 && nodever 8'. For more information about the packages in rpm format, see http://ibm.biz/ibmi-rpms
If deploying alternatively, Node.js version 8 is available via:
