Abstract
A defect (APAR PH06944) has been identified in Planning Analytics 2.0.x that may cause incorrect values in consolidated cells. Refreshing the view containing a consolidated cells may cause the value in the consolidated cells to change.
This problem only impacts Planning Analytics 2.0 and does not impact TM1 10.2.2. An Interim Fix with a correction for this defect is available.

The Planning Analytics database is only susceptible to this defect under the following conditions:
1 - MTQ is enabled (set to a value other than 0 or 1) in the tm1s.cfg file
2 - ReduceCubeLockingOnDimensionUpdate=T (If this parameter is not configured the default value is F)
3 - VersionedListControlDimensions=T (If this parameter is not configured the default value is T)
2 - ReduceCubeLockingOnDimensionUpdate=T (If this parameter is not configured the default value is F)
3 - VersionedListControlDimensions=T (If this parameter is not configured the default value is T)
It is possible to check if this defect is impacting the TM1 database by examining lock exception debug logging. To enable lock exception debugging the following line must be added to the tm1s-log.properties file.
log4j.logger.TM1.Lock.Exception=DEBUG
A restart of the TM1 database is not required when updating the tm1s-log.properties file. Lock exception debug logging is written to the tm1server.log file by default. If the problem is impacting the TM1 database the following exception message will be seen in the tm1server.log file.
Acquiring IX/IXNC/Writer Lock on object %s in nested transaction
This message will be written in the logging when a view with an incorrect consolidated value is accessed.
Please contact IBM Support to obtain an Interim Fix. Until an Interim Fix is installed it is recommended to set ReduceCubeLockingOnDimensionUpdate=F and restart the TM1 database. This defect is known to be resolved in both Interim Fix 6 and 7 for Planning Analytics 2.0.6.
