Unable to connect to SiteProtector Application Server using remote console

Troubleshooting


Problem

After applying Microsoft KB4480970, remote SiteProtector Consoles may fail to properly connect to the Application Server and will not be able to log in.

Symptom

The remote console is unable to connect to the SiteProtector Application Server with the following error message: 

Cannot login to SiteProtector using remote console -- stuck at 3 of 7 with error: 
2019-01-31T11:51:47 [Foxtrot Default Worker Thread (2)] ERROR net.iss.rssp.consoleupdate.client.ConsoleUpdate:142 - IO exception while reading/writting to disk java.util.zip.ZipException: invalid entry size (expected 3154 but got 3235 bytes) at java.util.zip.ZipInputStream.readEnd(ZipInputStream.java:415

From the below logs, you will see that the remote user permissions are not granted:
