Abstract
In a Business Automation Content Services on Cloud environment, some limitations exist when you use WS-Invoke and Process Orchestration.
Content
If you plan to use WS-Invoke and Process Orchestration with your Business Automation Content Services on Cloud deployment, be aware of the following considerations:
- WS-Invoke from a PE Workflow on Business Automation Content Services on Cloud is supported if used with authentication. Design the invoke caller with authentication enabled. See the following link for more information:
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSNW2F_5.5.0/com.ibm.p8.pe.designerui.doc/bpfdh187.htm
- Process Orchestration is confirmed to work when a reply is not required. However, some scenarios for replying back to the invoking processes or service might encounter problems.
- When a PE workflow is designed in an on-premises environment to trigger Process Orchestration on a PE workflow in a Business Automation Content Services on Cloud environment, a known issue can occur. The discovery of the WSDL endpoint cannot authenticate past the Business Automation Content Services on Cloud authentication infrastructure. At runtime, the WS-Invoke might not be able to authenticate with Business Automation Content Services on Cloud.
