IMM web GUI only loads top banner after firmware update - Lenovo x86 servers

Symptom

The Integrated Management Module (IMM) web Graphical User Interface (GUI) only loads the top of the banner after the IMM Firmware is updated to following IMM version.

• For x3550M5/X3650M5/nx3650M5, affected IMM version is tcoo10h-1.72.
• For x3500M5, affected IMM version is tcoo10g-1.75
• For x3850X6/X3950X6, affected IMM version is tcoo10p-1.80.

Affected configurations

The system may be any of the following Lenovo servers:

• Lenovo NeXtScale nx360 M5, type 5465, any model
• Lenovo NeXtScale nx360 M5 DWC, type 5467, any model
• Lenovo System x3550 M5, type 5463, any model
• Lenovo System x3650 M5, type 5462, any model
• Lenovo System x3850 X6, type 6241, any model
• Lenovo System x3950 X6, type 6241, any model

Solution

This issue will be addressed in a future release of IMM.

The target date for this release is scheduled for fourth quarter 2015.

The file is or will be available by selecting the appropriate Product Group, type of System, Product name, Product machine type, and operating system on IBM Support's Fix Central web page, at the following URL:

Workaround

Current workaround is to enable IMM.LanOverUsb parameter via the Advanced Settings Utility (ASU) or enable such parameter in the UEFI F1 setup menu.

Additional information

The internal USB over LAN IP address becomes zero after disabling the port. This will cause the IMM to not respond to the correct address while demanding it form the web GUI.
