When learning a Lenovo XClarity Administrator (LXCA) Configuration Patterns server pattern that includes an EN2024 adapter, only an extended port pattern is created instead of a port pattern. This will prevent editing at the port level.

Symptom
When learning a Lenovo XClarity Administrator (LXCA) Configuration Patterns server pattern that includes an EN2024 adapter, only an extended port pattern is created instead of a port pattern. This will prevent editing at the port level.
Affected configurations
The system is configured with at least one of the following:
- Lenovo XClarity Administrator, 1.0.0
This tip is not system specific.
This tip is not option specific.
The system has the symptom described above.
Note: This does not imply that the network operating system will work under all combinations of hardware and software.

This issue was resolved by Lenovo XClarity Administrator Fixpack version 1.0.1.
The file is or will be available by selecting the appropriate Product Group, type of System, Product name, Product machine type, and operating system on IBM Support's Fix Central web page, at the following URL:

Workaround
The adapter can be edited and the port/extended port settings pattern can be changed from the Edit or Assign Adapter Pattern dialog.
Additional information
The User Interface (UI) expects that a port pattern is created for Flex ethernet adapters. In this case, only an extended port pattern was created which causes the editing at the port level to fail.
