Setting for Central Processing Unit (CPU) core activation and
deactivation are missing in the Advanced Settings Utility (ASU).
These settings are present in the UEFI F1 Setup menu.

The system is configured with at least one of the following:
- Advanced Settings Utility, any
version
This tip is not system specific.
This tip is not option specific.
Note: This does not imply that the network operating
system will work under all combinations of hardware and
software.

Solution
This behavior will be corrected in a future release of ASU.
The target date for this release is second quarter 2015.
The file will be available by selecting the appropriate Product
Group, type of System, Product name, Product machine type, and
Operating system on IBM Support's Fix Central web page, at the
following URL:
http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/
Workaround
When the System is booting, go into the UEFI F1 Setup menu and
do CPU core activation or deactivation from there.
