Problem
Errors when LCC (Library Control Card) or Library Chassis is replaced on TS3100 or TS3200 Tape Library for Lenovo
Resolving The Problem
Abstract
Errors occur when the LCC (Library Control Card) or Library Chassis is replaced on a TS3100 or TS3200 Tape Library for Lenovo. This document applies only to the following language version: US English
Symptom
This problem may occur with a LCC or Library Chassis replacement. During replacement, a mismatch between Boot Code on the Picker Robotics and the LCC card can occur. Due to this mismatch on a replacement LCC Card or Library Chassis, a Mechanical Block or Robotic Error Code may occur during initialization of the library. Two error codes known to occur are as follows (there may be others):
| Mechanical Block error: 84 0E Robotic error: 83 B0 |
Solution
Reload the latest Library firmware. If the new LCC is at the latest firmware, reload the same code. This task will synchronize the Boot Code on the Picker Robotics and the LCC card.
