Problem
When the IBM x3550 M4 system with Acbel 550 W power supply Field Replacement Unit (FRU) part number 94Y8105 stays in idle mode (AC power on DC power off; only standby power) for over 20 days then boot power up, a power supply error log with 12 V Over Current (OC) will be intermittently recorded in the system log.

The system may be any of the following IBM servers:
- System x3550 M4, type 5459, any model
- System x3550 M4, type 7914, any model
- System x3550 M4, type 7914 E5-xxxxV2, any model

The system has the symptom described above.
Workaround
Restart the system.Additional Information
