AMM Logs I/O Module x Over Recommended Temperature with Cisco Switch

Symptom
The Advanced Management Module logs the event:| I/O MODULE X OVER RECOMMENDED TEMPERATURE |
However, the I/O Module is functioning normally. These events events recover within seconds, but then occasionally return and recover again. There are no other temperature related errors in the Advanced Management Module (AMM) event log and no other I/O Module related faults.
Affected Configurations
The system is configured with one or more of the following IBM
Options:
Cisco Nexus 4001I Switch Module for IBM BladeCenter, Option part
number 46M6071, any replacement part number
Cisco Systems Fiber Intelligent Gigabit Ethernet Switch Module
for BladeCenter, Option part number 32R1888, any replacement part
number

The system has the symptom described above.
Workaround
This issue is a limitation of the AMM and Cisco switch. If there are no other errors or faults reported with the I/O Module, the Input/Output module (IOM) should be considered okay.Additional Information
AMM cannot read the temperature value directly from I/O Module.AMM periodically checks the status register of each I/O Module by reading the status register via Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C) bus.
