the SAS/SATA HDD firmware (ibm_fw_hdd_sas-1.14.04-1**), the
firmware (firmware) can be updated successfully, but the installed
version of SAS/SATA HDD firmware cannot be detected by UXSPI.

Affected configurations
The system is configured with at least one of the following:
- UpdateXpress Service Pack Installer, version 9.61
The system is configured with one or more of the following IBM
Options:
- ServeRAID M1115 SAS/SATA Controller for IBM System x, Option
81Y4448, CRU 81Y4449
This tip is not system specific.

Solution
This behavior will be corrected in a future release of
UXSPI.
The target date for this release is scheduled for fourth quarter
2014.

Product Group, type of System, Product name, Product machine type,
and Operating system on IBM Support's Fix Central web page, at the
following URL:
Workaround
Use LSI utility (sas2ircu/sas3ircu/storcli) to collect SATA
firmware information.
Additional information
When using UXSPI to update the SAS/SATA HDD firmware
(ibm_fw_hdd_sas-1.14.04-1**), the firmware can be updated
successfully, but the installed version of SAS/SATA HDD firmware
cannot be detected by UXSPI.
When UXSPI detects the SAS/SATA HDD firmware installed versions
from the inventory file, the class instance of LSIESG_PhysicalDrive
does not have the property of 'Model'. So, the
'ibm_fw_hdd_sas-1.14.04-1' installed version is shown as
undetected.
The root cause is that the LSI Common Information Model (CIM)
provider cannot show 'Model'/'PartNumber' properties of
LSIESG_PhysicalDrive with SATA HDD connected. This issue is caused
by the LSI CIM provider, and a defect has been opened to the LSI
CIM provider to solve this issue.
