Symptom

Any Operating System (OS) that supports a Hypervisor may be affected.

When running a virtual machine with Windows 2008 R2 or Solaris 10 64-bit, users may experience one (1) of these symptoms:

Windows 2008 R2 blue screen events:

  • 0x0000000a -IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
  • 0x0000001a -MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
  • 0x000000fc -ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY
  • 0x0000004e -PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
  • 0x00000050 -PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
  • 0x0000003B- SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

Solaris 10 64-bit kernel panic

  • System x3530 M4, Type 7160 - Update to UEFI firmware version 1.70/BEE140Y or later
  • System x3550 M4, Type 7914 - Update to UEFI firmware version 1.70/D7E140Y or later
  • System x3630 M4, Type 7158 - Update to UEFI firmware version 1.70/BEE140Y or later
  • System x3650 M4, Type 7915 - Update to UEFI firmware version 1.70/VVE142A or later
  • BladeCenter HS23, Type 7875 - Update to UEFI firmware version 1.50/AHE140Y or later
  • iDataPlex dx360 M4 server, Type 7912 - Update to UEFI firmware version 1.50/TDE140Z or later
  • System x3750 M4 ,Type 8722 - Update to UEFI firmware version 1.50/KOE142B or later
  • System x3750 M4 ,Type 8752 - Update to UEFI firmware version 1.50/KOE142B or later
  • System x3850 X6 ,Type 3837 - Update to UEFI firmware version 1.00/A8E108L or later
