Systems now need to switch the video mode to a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels before entering into an Operating System (OS). The current setup application only supports resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.
Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) Preboot eXecution Environment (PXE) starting requires switching to 1024 x 768 prior to the beginning of a PXE start. If an PXE attempt fails, it returns to the setup application, causing a video mode switch back to 800x600.
If there is another NetworkInterface Controller (NIC) from which to UEFI PXE start, then the video mode is switched back to 1024x768. The net result is the status of the previous attempt is erased from the screen at the start of the subsequent PXE attempt.
