Symptom
The Advanced Management Module (AMM) may not display the correct Stacking Mode or Protected Mode configuration information of Blade Network Technologies (BNT) switches after a Master Failover or restart of the switch stack.
Affected configurations
The system is configured with one or more of the following IBM Options:
- BNT 1/10 Gigabit Uplink Ethernet Switch Module for IBM BladeCenter, Option part number 44W4404, any replacement part number
- BNT Virtual Fabric 10 Gigabit Switch Module for IBM BladeCenter, Option part number 46C7191, any replacement part number
- BladeCenter Advanced Management Module, Option part number 25R5778, any replacement part number

Solution
This behavior is corrected by updating AMM and BNT firmware.
Update to AMM firmware version 3.62S Build ID: BPET62S or later, and BNT firmware version 6.8.10.0.
Note: BNT firmware version 7.x does not contain the fix.
