Symptom

Multiple false alarms of second power supply could be seen when the first AC power supply is powered on. In this case, the system fault Light Emitting Diode (LED) will light and power supply related errors will be logged in the Integrated Management Module (IMM) System Event Log (SEL).

For example, the following errors could be reported:

  1 | 06/28/2010 | 00:58:23 | Fan PS 2 Fan Fault | Transition to Critical from less severe

2 | 06/28/2010 | 00:58:23 | Power Supply PS 2 Therm Fault | Transition to Critical from less severe

3 | 06/28/2010 | 00:58:23 | Power Supply PS2 12V OV Fault | Transition to Non-recoverable

4 | 06/28/2010 | 00:58:23 | Power Supply PS2 12V UV Fault | Transition to Non-recoverable

5 | 06/28/2010 | 00:58:23 | Power Supply PS2 12V OC Fault | Transition to Non-recoverable

6 | 06/28/2010 | 00:58:24 | Power Supply PS 2 VCO Fault | Transition to Non-recoverable
