Troubleshooting
Problem
When in-band updating the Integrated Management Module (IMM) firmware in a multi-nodes system, the in-band Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface in the secondary node system may be disabled after the IMM has been flashed successfully and reset. If the above occurs, the following warning message is seen when the user performs a subsequent in-band firmware update. Error connecting to IMM using Internet Protocol (IP) address 169.254.96.118 Unable to connect to node 2. Error flashing firmware: 10

Solution
This behavior has been corrected in the IMM firmware Version 1.30 (Build ID: YUOOC7E).
The file is or will be available by selecting the appropriate Product name, Product machine type, and Operating system on IBM Support's Fix Central web page, at the following URL:
Workaround
The user should enable the IMM in-band USB interface on the secondary node manually using an IMM Web interface.
Additional information
When updating the IMM firmware, the last step is to save the current IMM settings. The settings will be restored after IMM resets on the first boot. A rare issue occurs when the previous settings for the IMM in-band USB interface have not been saved correctly. It leads to the fact that the IMM in-band USB interface will be disabled after the IMM is successfully updated and reset.
