The versions previous to yuoo75 firmware for the IMM is affected.
The following system firmware level(s) are affected:
- IMM yuoo75 and previous
The system has the symptom described above.
Solution
This behavior has been corrected in IMM firmware yuoo75v (1.21).
The file is or will be available by selecting the appropriate Product Group, Product name, Product machine type, and Operating system on IBM Support's Fix Central web page, at the following URL:
Workaround
Log in to IMM web interface or Advanced Management Module (AMM) and verify the IMM firmware Vital Product Data (VPD).
If the new version is not seen by VPD, then retry the IMM firmware update.
Additional information
If flashing IMM through the iFlash tool, the IMM reboots after the firmware upgrade completes. iFlash will wait for the IMM to activate again and then try to open a new transaction with the IMM to retrieve and verify the build ID of the new firmware. This error occurs because the IMM failed to respond to this request from the iFlash.
