Problem

Users may wish to use another language other than English in the On-Screen Configuration and Activity Reporting (OSCAR) Graphical User Interface (GUI).

Symptom

Users may wish to use another language other than English in the On-Screen Configuration and Activity Reporting (OSCAR) Graphical User Interface (GUI).

Affected configurations

The system may be any of the following IBM servers:

  • Rack/Storage, type 1735, any model

This tip is not software specific.
This tip is not option specific.

Workaround

  1. From the SETUP screen, select LANGUAGE.
  2. From the Language menu, select choice of language and then click OK.

To change back to English, go to the SETUP SCREEN and click on the option listing that is the 5th item down on left side. This option will display as the following in the appropriate language:


FRANCAIS - LANGUE
ESPANOL - IDIOMA
ITALIANO - LINGUA
GERMAN - SPRACHE
NIHONGO - (L)
NETHERLANDS - TAAL

To change back to English, follow the same procedure by selecting the 5th option on the main OSCAR screen.
