Problem

The message "Event log full" (Event ID 0x0000006b) appears in the Advanced Management Module (AMM) event log and the event log is not full.

Symptom

The message "Event log full" (Event ID 0x0000006b) appears in the Advanced Management Module (AMM) event log and the event log is not full.

Affected configurations

The system may be any of the following IBM servers:

  • BladeCenter LS22, type 7901, any model
  • BladeCenter LS42, type 7902, any model

This tip is not software specific.
This tip is not option specific.

  • The L8BT11AUS firmware for the LS22 and LS42 BMC is affected.

Solution

This behavior will be corrected in a future release of LS22 and LS42 Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) firmware.

The file will be available from the IBM System x Support web site at the following URL:

Additional information

This is caused by an extraneous event from the BMC firmware and is not indicative of any issue. The user should ignore this event. The AMM event log may not be full.
