Workaround
Go into F1 Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) and re-enable the memory slots.
Additional information
Memory slots do not automatically re-enable when memory is replaced. This must be done manually within F1 BIOS setup.
If memory is shipped directly to users rather than delivered through IBM field service, the user should be instructed to enable the memory slots after replacement of the Dual In-Line Memory Modules (DIMMs).
