Additional information

  1. BladeCenter H (Type 8852) blowers are powered directly from the AC input cables to the chassis. Each blower gets power from a different AC cable.
  2. Chassis AC feed 1 provides power to Power Module's (PM) 1 and 4 and blower 2. AC feed 2 provides power to PM's 2 and 3 and blower 1.
  3. Both PM's 1 and 2 in power domain 1 must be active for Switch Modules in bays 7 and 8 to work. PM's 3 and 4 in power domain 2 must both be active for Switch Modules in bays 9 and 10 to work. See RETAIN tip H191392 Unable to power on high speed switches - IBM BladeCenter H
  4. At least one PM in domain 1, PM 1 or 2, must work for Blade slots 1-7 and Switch Module bays 3 and 4 to work. At least one PM in domain 2, PM 3 or 4, must work for Blade slots 8-14 and Bridge Module bays 1 and 2 to work.
  5. Only one of the four PM's (PM 1, 2, 3 or 4) need to work for the Advanced Management Modules (AMM) in slots 1 and 2 and Switch Module bays 1 and 2 to work. Any one on the four PM's can power up the AMM and the switches in bays 1 and 2.
