Problem
Pressing the CTRL and the C keys fail to terminate a process when accessing the Blade through Serial Over LAN. Control is returned to the user only when the process is completed.

The system may be any of the following IBM servers:
- BladeCenter H, type 8852, any model
- BladeCenter HT, type 8740, any model
- BladeCenter HT, type 8750, any model
- BladeCenter JS21, type 7988, any model
- BladeCenter JS21, type 8844, any model
- BladeCenter T, type 8720, any model
- BladeCenter T, type 8730, any model
This Tip is not option specific.
The system is configured with at least one of the following:
- Red Hat Linux RHEL 4, update 5
- Red Hat Linux RHEL 5, any update
Note: This does not imply that the network operating system will work under all combinations of hardware and software.

This issue is fixed in RHEL4 update 6 and RHEL5 update 1.

Log in to the BladeCenter system using Telnet or SSH and kill the process by finding the process ID.

This happens only in RHEL4 update 5, and RHEL5 any update, when accessed through Serial Over LAN.
The CTRL and Z key combination is also not recognized.
