Troubleshooting
Problem
When changing the UPS Network Management logon credentials for a user, the following items can be updated: 1) User Name, 2) User Password, 3) User Authentication Phrase. Under certain circumstances, the default logon credentials may be required.

The default log on credentials are as follows:
Administrator:
- User name: apc
- Password: apc
- Authentication Phrase: admin user phrase
Device Manager:
- User name: device
- Password: apc
- Authentication Phrase: device user phrase
These settings can be changed by connecting to the UPS via serial port or telnet and choosing the following menu items after log on:
- Select "System"
- Select "User Mangager"
- Select "Administrator" or "Device Manager User"
- Entering the necessary logon credentials
- Accepting the changes
- Logging off the UPS
