Troubleshooting
Problem
There are three configuration options for the setting Power Restore Policy in the BIOS configuration Utility. These options can also be set by Linux and Microsoft Windows Advanced Setup Utility (ASU). The Power Restore Policy setting allows for how systems behave when AC Power is restored. Option 1: Restore the System Power state to Power state before the AC Power was lost. Option 2: Always power on the system when the AC Power is restored. Option 3: Always power off the system when the AC Power is restored. Note: The system behaves correctly with the first two options. The Always Power Off option does not work. Instead, the system will power on when the Power Restore Policy is set to Always Power Off.
