Problem
User could observe a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) and/or an event 51 in the Microsoft Windows event log: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1) An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an interrupt request level (IRQL) thatis too high. This is usually caused by drivers using improper addresses.

An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually caused by drivers using improper addresses.

The system may be any of the following IBM servers:
- BladeCenter HS20, type 7981, any model
- BladeCenter HS20, type 8843, any model
This tip is not option specific.
The system is configured with at least one of the following:
- Microsoft Windows 2003 Server, any service pack
Note: This does not imply that the network operating system will work under all combinations of hardware and software.

This issue is resolved with an update to the storport.sys file. The updated driver is also contained in Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Windows 2003.
