After a client system is woken up from suspend mode, the Desktop Management Interface (DMI) application becomes unresponsive.

Affected configurations

This tip may apply to all Commercial Desktop (CDT) and IBM IntelliStation systems preloaded or installed with Microsoft Windows 95 and using DMI version 2.0.
Symptoms or error conditions may include:
1. After a system returns from suspend, DMI information is not accessible.
2. Win32sl (DMI 2.0 Service Provider) may cause a page fault.
3. LANDesk Client Manager may no longer be available.

The suspend feature in Microsoft Windows 95 must be disabled if DMI, Netfinity, Alert-on-LAN, or similar applications are being used for remote system management.
