Cisco switch POST timeout with restore to factory defaults - IBM BladeCenter

This occurs any time the user restores the Cisco Systems Intelligent Gigabit Ethernet Switch Module to its original factory defaults.

The system's diagnostics Fail.
The BIOS levels affected are:
- Version 12.1(22)AY or later
- Version 12.1(22)AY or later

| Restarting the Cisco switch |
|---|
- Go to the Management Module web interface.
- Select I/O Modules Power On/Of f.
- Select the Cisco switch.
- Select Restart . The Cisco switch will re-run the POST diagnostics without running the restore software. After approximately one minute POST will complete successfully.

- Go to the Management Module system status.
- Verify the Return Code for this Cisco switch is "FF.
- Go to the Event log to verify that the POST diagnostics completed successfully. The Event log should state that diagnostics did complete successfully. If this did not occur, note the error and call the HelpCenter.
