Problem
If the USB Keyboard/Mouse option is enabled in BIOS setup, then the USB devices will not be detected by the operating system and they will not function. This setting is disabled by default.

Affected configurations

The system may be an xSeries 305, type 8673, any model.
The following operating system is affected:
- Novell NetWare v6.0 or v6.5

Install Flash BIOS update - version 1.68 (or latest).

Disable the USB Keyboard/Mouse option in BIOS. Then NetWare 6.X will detect the USB devices and the devices will function properly after the operating system is installed. This method can be used until BIOS is updated.
