When flashing BIOS from a level before 27A on an IBM IntelliStation A Pro, the following information will be shown in the flash utility, incorrectly identifying the current BIOS level: Current BIOS:DEVEL3WL

Affected configurations
|
|---|
- The system may be any model of the IBM IntelliStation A Pro, type 6224.
- The BIOS level affected is PNJT26CUS.
- The behavior will be corrected in a future release of BIOS. The target date for the release is scheduled for August, 2004.

Workaround
|
|---|
- Ignore the displayed "Current BIOS" level, and enter Y to continue with the update.
- The user loses the ability to prevent backflashing.

- DEVEL3WL was incorrectly listed as the BIOS level in the BIOS binary file.
- The flash utility in PNJT26CUS was the first to look at the BIOS level in the BIOS binary file.
