Affected configurations

The system may be any of the following IBM eServer xSeries servers:
- an xSeries 445, type 8870, models 3EX, 3RY, 4EX or 4RY.
The system is configured with more than 1 processors.
The system is configured with Diag-17 version 1.03 diagnostics.

Solution

The behavior is corrected in the latest release of diagnostics.

Workaround

None. The error message should be ignored.

CPU diagnostic fails on Processors 1 and/or 3 in the 3EX, 3RY, 4EX or 4RY models of the x445 server with diagnostics level 17. The Service Processor will still report valid CPU run time errors within the system event log.
