Symptom

Boot device will not boot when the system is configured with multiple bootable add-in cards.

Affected configurations

The system may be any model of the IBM IntelliStation M Pro, type 6219.

The system is configured with the following option(s):

Solution

Attach the boot device to the first add-in card.

Additional information

A limitation exists whereby when multiple bootable add-in cards are installed, the desired boot device must be attached to the first add-in card as determined by the PCI scan order. For example, if multiple RAID or SCSI cards are installed, the system will only boot from the first card detected by system BIOS.
