Additional information

Hardware and software limitations prevent the HS20 Fibre Channel Expansion Board from being displayed along with Subsystem Vendor ID 1014 on the BIOS screen during boot time. The Subsystem Vendor ID 1014 is unique to IBM. The QLA2312 PCI Fibre Channel ROM BIOS Version 1.29 indicates the software level of the card which comes from QLogic. PC diagnostics (PC-Doctor) will report the following information:

BUS 2 Device 4 Function 0
Device Class: 0CH 04H (00H)
Vendor ID: 1077H QLogic
Device ID: 2312H (Revision 02H)
Interrupt: 11

BUS 2 Device 4 Function 1
Device Class: 0CH 04H (00H)
Vendor ID: 1077H QLogic
Device ID: 2312H (Revision 02H)
Interrupt: 15

Note: The BUS, Device, Function and Interrupts fields are system configuration dependent, while the Vendor and Device ID fields do not change.

The Vendor and Device ID comes directly from the onboard controller (ISP2312) and can not be intercepted by software to be modified to show IBM in the Vendor and Device ID fields. The IBM Subsystem Vendor ID and Subsystem Device ID will not be displayed until the device driver loads.
