Tape device reports that media is write-protected.
Corrective actions
- Check the tape to make sure that the tab is not set to write-protected.
- Try a different piece of media.
- Make sure that the software has not been configured to set the media to a write-protected status.
- Insure that all patches are applied to the backup software.
- Update the firmware on the tape drive.
