While attempting to perform a backup job using Microsoft Windows 2000 Native Backup, and the 100/200GB LTO tape drive configured with the shipped IBM Ultrium Device Driver version 5.0.1.7, the following message appears:
Library IBM Ultrium-TD1 SCSI Sequential Device couldn't write to media "x".
Eject it, fix the problem (See the event log), and try again.

- Netfinity 5100 server, type 8658, any model

The system is configured with the following option:
- 100/200GB LTO Internal SCSI Tape Drive, Option part number 00N8016, replacement part number (FRU) 37L5799
- IBM 200/400GB Linear Tape Open (LTO) Tape Drive (GEN2)
The following network operating systems are affected:
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, with any Service Pack applied

The symptom described above is corrected in version 5.0.1.9 of the LTO driver.
Apply the latest LTO driver, version 5.0.1.9 or later, available from the following URL:
