Resolving The Problem

Setting the SCSI ID on the 3502-108 Tape Library
  1. Ensure the SCSI cabling is setup correctly for the tape drive. (Click here for SCSI cabling instructions).
  2. With the library display showing "Library Idle", press Select (button 4) until the message "SCSI ID" appears on the display.
  3. Press button 1 (Down Arrow). The display will show "View ID".
  4. Press button 1 (Down Arrow) again to show "Set ID" on the display.
  5. Press Enter (button 3), and then press button 1 (Down Arrow) to show "Library ?" on the display.
  6. Press Enter (button 3). The display will show "Set ID? Library X?".
  7. Use buttons 1 (Down Arrow) and 2 (Up Arrow) to select the Tape Library ID. Select Tape Library 0, then press Enter (button 3).
  8. Press Enter (button 3) again and it will show "Set ID? Drive ID?" on the display. Press Enter (button 3).
  9. Use buttons 1 (Down Arrow) and 2 (Up Arrow) to select SCSI ID's. Select SCSI ID 1, then press Enter (button 3). You should now see "Set ID?" on the display.
  10. Press Select (button 4) until "Library Idle" shows on the display. You are done setting the SCSI ID.
