Problem
Read this tip if you have seen the "1805 post error" on one of the following Netfinity Servers that is configured with a Netfinity 10/100 Ethernet Adapter 2: 7000-M10, 7000, 5500-M20, 5500-M10, 5500, 5000

Affected configurations
The system is any of the following IBM Netfinity servers:
- Netfinity 7000-M10 server, Type 8680, any Model.
- Netfinity 7000 server, Type 8651, any Model.
- Netfinity 5500-M20 server, Type 8662, any Model.
- Netfinity 5500-M10 server, Type 8661, any Model.
- Netfinity 5500 server, Type 8660, any Model.
- Netfinity 5000 server, Type 8659, any Model.
The system is configured with the IBM Netfinity 10/100 Ethernet Adapter, Option p/n34L1501, FRU p/n34L1509.
Solution
Flash Ethernet Adapter code with "Combined PXE 2.0 & RPL Boot Flash Disk v3.12", or later.
Details
A limited number of IBM Netfinity 10/100 Ethernet Adapter cards (Option p/n34L1501, FRU p/n34L1509, Top Card Assy. p/n34L1599) were released to the field with a level of PXE/RPL PROM code which is incompatible with some Netfinity servers. When this adapter is plugged into these Netfinity servers, the system will flag an 1805 Post Error.
NOTE : In the Netfinity version of this adapter, the "RIPL FROM" should be blank.

- Select "LAN Adapters (NICs)" under By Function .
- Select "IBM Netfinity 10/100 Ethernet Adapter".
- Select "Technical Tips".
- Select "1805 PCI Error during bootup with 34L1501".
