eXFlash DIMM Configuration and Support Requirements - Lenovo Flex System x280 (E7-2870 v2) / x480 (E7-4870 v2) X6

The following system configurations are required:

• Machine Types: 7196-ADU, 7196-DDU
• Install sixteen (16) RDIMMs and twelve (12) eXFlash 400GB DIMMs
• VMware vSphere 5.5 (ESXi) Update 2, Guest Operating System Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

Supported Memory Options:

Note: eXFlash DIMM module will operate at 1333 MHz (default) or 1066 MHz depending on the operating mode.

Supported Processors Options:

System Firmware:

The following software are the minimum system code versions required to support eXFlash DIMM devices. Please ensure your server is updated to these code levels or higher prior to installing the eXFlash DIMM hardware.

• UEFI: lnvgy_fw_uefi_n3e112d-1.00_anyos_32-64.uxz
• IMM2: lnvgy_fw_imm2_tcoo08h-1.40_anyos_noarch.uxz

eXFlash DIMM Firmware / Drivers:

The following software is the minium exFlash code version required to support eXFlash DIMM devices on the 7196-ADU / 7196-DDU machine type / models. Please ensure your exFlash DIMM devices are at these code levels

• Lenovo eXFlash DIMM Software Package for VMware ESXi 5:
• dti_dd_exflash-1.5.0-2-vmware5_x84-64.zip
