Pre-install procedures
Boot to the SCU diskette (v3.4 or v3.5), select option 3, select system board settings, and verify that the MP Spec is set to 1.1.
Go back to previous menu and select each scsi adapter, press F6 to edit resources and verify that each adapter has a unique IRQ.
It is recommended that the logical drives in the array be initialized and synchronized before loading any operating system. It is also recommended that the IBM PC Server 704 BIOS be at 1.00.07 or higher, and that the SCU (configuration utility) diskette be at version 3.5 or higher.

For the IBM PCI SCSI-2 Fast/Wide Raid adapter:
If the IBM PCI SCSI-2 Fast/Wide adapter SCO support diskette that ships with the system is not available, obtain the file scordv50.exe from the IBM bbs. This file is a self-extracting file (under DOS or OS/2) that will create a diskette containing the mdac BTLD which supports the IBM PCI SCSI-2 Fast/Wide Raid adapter running SCO Open Server v5.0x. scordv50.exe can be located on the IBM bbs (919-517-0001), anonymous ftp (ftp.software.ibm.com/systems/support/system_x/scordv50.exe), and the http://www.ibm.com/systems/support Web site.
For the IBM ServeRaid adapter:
Obtain the IBM PC ServeRAID Adapter Support diskette for SCO that ships with the system if it is not available. This self-extracting file (under DOS or OS/2) will create the ipsraid BTLD diskette which supports the IBM ServeRaid adapter. This files is also located on the IBM bbs (919-517-0001), anonymous ftp
