Problem
This technote explains why attempts to install IBM® Rational® ClearCase®, IBM Rational ClearCase LT® or IBM Rational ClearQuest® 7.0 on AIX® results in the error, []****Unsupported C++ Runtime: X.X.X.X fileset xlC.rte 7.0.0.1 or greater required****[], along with steps to resolve the issue.
Symptom
The following error is reported during an attempt to install ClearCase, ClearCase LT or ClearQuest 7.0 on AIX:
