- Fixes issues with certain keys on the French keyboard when used with
the remote console.
- Advanced Management Module now requires that users can only
authenticate through LDAP if the permission attributes are set on
the LDAP server.
- Corrects a compatibility issue, between the AMM and Cisco Ethernet
IO module, that affects network management. As an example, a user
connected directly to the IO module can not PING a host on the
external network.
- Socket numbers of failed DIMMs are now reported in the event log for
8850 blades.
- Corrected a problem where the blade list in the remote console would
not get populated.
- Corrected a problem where the management module would reset when
removing a blade with a communication error.
- The situation that caused "PAM _pam_init_handlers: no default config"
to appear in the event log has been resolved.
- The problem where mounting remote drives wouldn't work when the media
tray was selected as "None" has been resolved.
- Users logging in through LDAP can now use the remote console.
- Fixed an issue where the I/O Modules 5 through 10 were not shown on
the management module web interface.
- Fixed an issue where the mouse on the remote console would become
usable while blades were being discovered.
- Addressed an issue where the remote disk wouldn't work when using
Firefox to log into the management module web interface.
- Corrected a problem when the management module would continuously
reboot during a broadcast storm.
- Blade types 7971 and 7972 will report an error if a single CPU is
plugged into the wrong slot instead of an informational event log
entry.
- Corrected a problem when the chassis warning light would not clear
after blade types 7971 and 7972 recover from a thermal event.
- Fixed a problem where fuel gauge incorrectly reported the power usage
for blade type 7972 when the multiprocessor expansion board is
installed.
- Corrected a problem where community names weren't being used to
authenticate for SNMPv1.
- Fixed an issue where the USB port on the management module was not
working.
- Issue with 8850 blades having corrupted video and unusable mouse when
in remote console have been corrected.
- On the BladeCenter chassis, blowers will come to full speed when
media tray is removed.
- Addressed the problem where the management module would lose ethernet
connectivity when set to 100M/full duplex.
- Corrected a problem when original Management Module installed in a
chassis after the Advanced Management Module had saved the
configuration to this chassis and user accounts were getting corrupted.
Enhancements:
- Management Module uses the new United States rules starting in 2007
for Daylight Savings time calculations.
- Power management will now throttle other blades when running a
non-redundant state to allow blades to power on. Blades will also
dynamically throttle when in a non-redundant state.
Limitations:
Dependencies:
- This firmware is for the BladeCenter(TM)-H and BladeCenter(TM) System
8677 System 8852 only.
- Version 1.20, Build ID: BPET21C
Problem(s) Fixed:
- Video quality - Display alignment fixed, Windows standard VGA 800x600
resolution is fixed
- When the keyboard and mouse are plugged into the mm usb port the
mouse will not move at a constant speed
- While in remote control the CPU jumps to and stays around 75% as soon
as you click in the window and start moving the mouse around.
- Repeating keys fix - getting multiple characters when typing. For
example, try to type "ls /etc" but get "lss /eet"
- Nothing is sent when holding the alt key and then typing the ascii
number on the number pad.
- When using a UK client machine with remote control there is no way
to send <Ctrl><alt><del> to the opereating system
- International keyboards now supported
- CLI fixes
- update command to grab the new firmware from the tftp server
not working
- flashing when using sub directories fails
- ifconfig command -s and -g arguments for switches generates an
"Illegal option" error
- "portcfg" command has 115200 baud rate option:This baud rate is
not supported
- "list -l all" command does not display targets for side boards
on some blades
Enhancements:
- Added blade support for HS21 (Type 8853)
- Added support for high speed switch modules
- USB 2.0 support
- Added Configuration Wizard
- Added blade support for LS21 (Types 7971 and 7972)
Critical Fixes:
- No longer allow invalid files to be uploaded via virtual media
- AMM corrupting BC1 chassis EEPROM
- Erroneous warning and errors in event log
- SOL Not Ready on HS40 Blades
Dependencies:
- This firmware is for the BladeCenter(TM)-H and BladeCenter(TM) System
8677 System 8852 only.
- Version 1.01, Build ID: BPET15D
Problem(s) Fixed:
- Remote Disk Pull-Down menu not locked
- Added Error Log Entry and Error LED for Advanced Management Module
and Management Module in same chassis
- SNMPv3 returning incorrect values for subnet mask
- SNMP does not display correct number of fan packs
- SNMP does not power on last Blade in chassis (Blade 14)
- Inaccurate Blower VPD being displayed
Enhancements:
- Added support for the Server Connectivity Module
- Added Switched/Shared Mode for Remote Media
- Advanced Management Module reads chassis configuration when initially
installed
Critical Fixes:
- Remote Disk Write capability not working (Seen as disk write
protected)
- Corrected user permission access violations
- Terminating Telnet session forces Advanced Management Module reset
- Slow upload of disk image files through Remote Control
