Download Description

Launch the Identification Utility for IBM Deskstar hard drives and read the content of section FIRMWARE CHECK. If firmware update is needed, go to section DETECTED DEVICES to identify the drive and firmware needed. Another possibility is to launch the IBM Enhanced Diagnostics (PC Doctor diagnostics), select Hardware Info, then select IDE Drive Info to locate the "Drive Model" information.

If the drive model of your hard disk drive is IC35L0xxAVER07, where x can represent any number or letter, then you should update your firmware with the file (pz2z24us.exe) displayed above.

Follow the installation instructions provided in the associated txt file, pz2z24us.txt.

These files are distributed in self-extracting .exe format.
 NOTE: These files will automatically extract to your hard disk drive when executed. It will only extract under 32-bit Microsoft operating systems (Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000 Professional, and Windows XP). The extraction process will NOT work with any other operating systems.
