Lenovo Hardware Management Pack for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, v6.1

The Lenovo Hardware Management Pack for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, v6.1 enables customers to use the enhanced features of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager for managing the health state of Lenovo x86 servers.
 
  Key features include: 

  • Offer a 90-days trial
  • Extensive monitoring of the health of hardware components for System x servers and BladeCenter x86/x64 blades running Windows
  • Rich monitoring of the health of BladeCenter chassis and BladeCenter modules via the SNMP protocol
  • Comprehensive monitoring of the health of software stacks for managing IBM hardware, and Lenovo hardware
  • Easy determination of overall system health by the aggregation of hardware health monitors

The following additional features are part of the Lenovo Upward Integration for Microsoft System Center. Activation licenses can be purchased by contacting your Lenovo representative or a Lenovo Business Partner.

  • Monitoring the Lenovo Integrated Management Module, Offers the ability to list system inventory and basic event.(applied for SCOM 2012 and above)
  • Monitoring the Lenovo x86 servers using both SNMP v1 and v3.
  • Power Monitoring of UEFI/IMM System x Servers and Blades running Windows 2008 & R2. Offers the ability to monitor overall system power usage, and generates alerts when power
  • consumption rises above predefined consumption thresholds
  • BladeCenter and Blade hardware health correlation and event propagation providing BladeCenter specific hardware health condition monitoring under the Windows health explorer view.
  • Remote power on and off of Blades Servers via the Operations Manager console.
  • Hardware Management Software Configuration Advisor for Lenovo Systems detects the presence of Lenovo Hardware management pack software dependencies in order to make appropriate configuration recommendations.
  • Set customer power consumption thresholds for Power Monitoring alerts via Operations Manager Agent task
  • Enable Power Capping and set the maximum power consumption wattage via Operation Manage Agent task
  • Offer OOB-IB Reflection to synchronize information obtained by using SNMP and OS.
  • Offer the ability to launch a CMM Web Console of a Flex System Chassis from the Operations Manager Console.
  • Offer the ability to discover an FSM device and launch an FSM Console in the Operations Manager Console.
  • Offer the ability to view System x power data using the System x Power Data Chart

  • Fee-based Power Monitoring requires the installation of IBM Director Agent v6.3.3, v6.3.2, v6.3.1, v6.3.0 or v6.2.1 on managed servers.

  • IBM Director Agent v6.3.3, v6.3.2, v6.3.1, v6.3.0, v6.2.1, v6.1.2, v5.20.x on managed servers.
