Each Document Manager Service may be enabled to generate activity trace files. The Document Manager Services that include this feature are: Automation, Lifecycle, Notification, Print/Plot, Rendition, Alarm Manager, and Cache Manager.

To enable service logging for any of these Services:

1. Start the Document Manager Service Monitor.
2. Right-click the Cache Service and select Service Properties (this launches the Service Properties dialog).
3. Select the specified library where you want to turn on logging and then select Edit.
4. Select the Logging tab.
5. Select Generate Log Files.
6. Select Log Detailed Messages.
7. You may also specify the log file size. Once the size limit is reached, the log file will be overwritten. We recommend a size of 10,000k, which allows you to capture several days of service information.

1. Start Designer-> Global -> Desktop -> Library Configuration.
2. Right-click Library Configuration and select Modify.
3. Select the Login Security tab.
4. Select Maintain Server Trace Logs.
5. Click Apply to save the change.
6. Run the Cache Service to update the change.
