Where do I connect the status cable that comes with the ServeRAID adapter?
Answer:
The IBM DASD Status Cable is only required when installing a ServeRAID adapter in IBM PC Servers that have a Hot Swap Backplane (320, 330, 520, and 720 models). In all other models, including the Netfinity series, this cable is not required and can be discarded.This cable provides the necessary interface to control the disk drive status LED in the hot-swap drive bay when a defunct drive is detected.
