Overview
The new Brocade OEM SAN Switches are designed to provide high
performance switching platforms used to interconnect storage
devices, hosts, and servers in storage area networks. These
switches meet the demands of hyper-scale, highly virtualized,
private cloud storage environments.
The 8 Gbps Fiber Channel 24-Port OEM SAN Switch is a 1U-high
switch designed specifically for the needs of smaller environments.
This switch provides an excellent foundation for small SANs with
the ability to grow as the organization needs.
The 16 Gbps Fiber Channel 24-Port OEM SAN Switch is a 1U-high
switch with enterprise-class functionality. This switch optimizes
fabric-wide performance and load-balancing by automatically routing
data to the most efficient and available path.
The 16 Gbps Fiber Channel 48-Port OEM SAN Switch is a 1U-high
switch with features that enable optimum flexibility and investment
protection.
This switch supports highly virtualized environments while
simplifying server virtualization and Virtual Desktop
Infrastructure (VDI) management.
Key prerequisites
The Brocade SAN TOR switches support highly virtualized environments and FC (Fiber Channel) connectivity for servers and storage. At a glance
The Brocade OEM SAN Switch (machine type 3873) models are cloud storage, networking-optimized Fibre Channel (FC) switches that offer the following capabilities:
- Twenty-four to forty-eight FC ports supporting 2 Gbps, 4 Gbps, 8 Gbps, and 16 Gbps speeds
- Scalable Ports on Demand (PoD) configuration from 24 - 48 ports to accommodate various sizes of SAN fabric environments
- Small footprint and low energy consumption in 1U-high configuration
- Easy to use three-step deployment with EZSwitchSetup
- Configurable ports for 10 Gbps metro optical connectivity
Warranty
- One year
A Lenovo part or feature installed during the initial installation of a Lenovo machine is subject to a full warranty effective on the date of installation of the machine. A Lenovo part or feature which replaces a previously installed part or feature assumes the remainder of the warranty period for the replaced part or feature. A Lenovo part or feature added to a machine without replacing a previously installed part or feature is subject to a full warranty effective on its date of installation. Unless specified otherwise, the warranty period, type of warranty service, and service level of a part or feature is the same as the machine it is installed.
